Neil gave a solo acoustic performance from his hometown of Omemee, Ontario.  He streamed it on Facebook, so you can watch it there.  He's my all-time favorite musician, and at 72yo, he's still sounding and playing well.  I was pleased that he broke out his D-45 for several songs and shared the story of his bullet hole HD-28. Musically, he played everything from guitar to piano to 6-string banjo to ukulele, and he had a couple of surprises --- like performing "There's A World" for the first time since 1971.  Here's the setlist.  Check it out!

Well - I'm excited to share that I purchased an Eastman E6-OM.  Should be arriving on Monday, at which point I will get some pictures up, along with a review.  This is the first 'traditional' E series Eastman that I have owned, so very much looking forward to this one!

Just curious if any members of this forum have any experience or thoughts about Recording King guitars?

I was at Guitar Center this weekend and had my first opportunity to try one out (RO-10 model).  I have to say, it was a pretty interesting guitar for the price!  They aren't in the same league as Eastman from my impression, but certainly better than the Yamahas and other guitars that Guitar Center had on the wall.

I have been working on dialing in my new 2006 810ce archtop.....finding it really tricky to get things just right. I have a couple of D’Angelico archtops that are much easier to play, but acoustically, the Eastman is so much better. Any advice as to what to look for when setting up the 810 ? I love the look and feel of the neck and body ( dark violin type finish ), but dialing her in seems to be pretty tricky.

New to this site. I own two Eastmans at the moment, ar810 archtop and a d20 dreadnaught. Both are stellar players and lookers. I have an 822ce fanned fret arriving tomorrow. I was wondering how most of you out there feel about pick guards. I tend to anchor with my pinky finger when finger picking and that tends to really wear through a guitars finish. I put a martin style d28 pickguard on the d20 and wondering if anyone out there has put a pick guard on the 822 grand auditorium. The guitar is beautiful....and I would like to protect her with a nice tortoloid type pick guard.

For anyone who is interested there is a recently posted (Nov. 10) short clip on Youtube from a lad named Ian Meadows trying out an E 20 D-TC. Other than an Eastman-produced entry from the 2017 NAMM show there haven't been any other demos of this axe that I have been able to find, mostly because they have not yet arrived in the U.S. (or so I'm told). Plug in "Eastman E 20D-TC" in the Youtube search box - I have had one on order since August and this clip has only fueled my lust to get my hands on one......

Just got this beautiful 186 from Blues Angel Music. What a great companion for my V59. These are truly exceptional instruments.

On the specs this one looks like it's modeled after a Martin... rosewood, ebony, mahogany, and there is one used locally. It has a decent price attached to it at $750. But, lately I'm a "top of the line guy" and while more $$ may not always mean better sound and performance the wood selection and construction of higher end gits just may make for a better choice.

Any E80 owners have input with their experience? I am going to see it Saturday.

Honestly, I could not be more pleased with what I have received for the price... The guitar looks and feels fantastic - and sounds great.  This thing is a keeper for sure.  Very comfortable neck, and the fact that you get a Wilkenson tremolo at this price is just too good.
