Alpine spruce VS Sitka spruce sound sample (E6D-TC & E8D-TC)
Posted by: jay9318 - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (9)

Hi, I edited sound samples for comparison from Eastman E6D-TC/E8D-TC with different tops (Alpine vs Sitka). I wanted to compare alpine vs sitka to know which I like more, and wanted to share these with you as well!

From listening to the sound, I personally think sitka has sweeter, mellower sound whereas alpine spruce has clearier, punchier sound. Both are special in their own rights.

  Eastman guitar quality.
Posted by: REHII - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (1)

The local Eastman dealer here in Memphis recently got in a large Eastman shipment. I mean 80 instruments large.
It took a while for them to unpack them all but they are about done know.
The guitars range from PCH models to an E20ssv and four Madagascar Rosewood guitars.
I have looked at most of them now.
I can say for sure that each and every one of them has been of the highest quality of materials and construction
Some of the mahogany (Kayha) used is simply breathtaking!!
Most of the rosewood is close to master grade.
And all of the tops appear to be Thermo Cured even in the PCH models.
I think that the quality of the materials and construction is the best of ANY guitar builders IN THE WORLD.
I could have mistaken one 00 slot head for a Collings if I didn’t see it come out of an Eastman case.
And the new cases are awesome also.
Well I have gushed enough about Eastman
I guess I’m gonna have to sell a lot of my Vintage guitars, as I don’t think they look as good, or sound as good or play as good as the current Eastmans! !

Madagascar OM and Dreadnought in stock
Posted by: REHII - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - No Replies

I was in Martin music in Memphis on Friday.
They had gotten in 80 Eastman guitars two weeks ago
There were four guitars with Madagascar Rosewood in that shipment.
Two OM’s and two Dreds.
I thought both had been pre ordered by customers.
Will on Friday I looked in the Eastman Cases in the acoustic room and there were one of each for sale!
I had thought that all four had been pre ordered but I guess not.
So if anyone wants a Madi Eastman Martin has one of each in stock as of Friday!

Howdy…

I’ve had Elixir PBs on my E2D since I got her.

what would make the guitar be less bright? I’m surprised by its volume, and by its brightness given the cedar top…

string advice?

$1500 Eastman DT30OM For Sale ***SOLD***
Posted by: roycarver2706 - Forum: For Sale / Trade and Online Deals - Replies (2)

I am selling my DT30OM acoustic which was purchased just a few short months ago.  I believed that I would keep this for the long haul but acquired a E40OM-TC recently at a great price and they are too similar sounding for me to justify keeping both.  Serial number is from 2019.  Guitar did not come with certificate.  Comes with case and shipping to the CONUS is included in price.  I am open to offers.  Although I haven't been a member on here very long, you can check out RoyCarverTN on Ebay or check me out on Reverb to see that I am an honest seller.  Guitar is in excellent shape except for a nick on the back of the neck as shown in pictures.  I don't even remember if I noticed it when I first got it because it is barely noticeable when playing the neck.  Guitar plays beautifully and if it wasn't for the E40, I would be keeping this as my main high-end OM guitar.
If anyone needs anymore pics let me know and will send them your way.

$1500 includes shipping

Thermo-cured Tops on non -TC Models
Posted by: roycarver2706 - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (19)

I’ve been perusing around some Eastman seller sites and noticed that there are examples of some lower end (new) models with Sitka tops that are pretty dark. I think John at The Acoustic Shoppe mentioned that Eastman was putting TC tops on non TC models. If this is true, can you assume the darker (new) tops may have the TC tops? Is there a way to know for sure? Also , have they used any TC tops on color stained models?

  New with my T64v
Posted by: Room135 - Forum: Introductions and EGF Annoucements - Replies (12)

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. I started my story with Eastman in 2015 with a T386, I have many gigs and jams with it but I had an impossible problem with the neck and I sold it. It was a good guitar. (I have a lot of guitar at home). I bought myself an Epiphone Casino and that convinced me that this guitar format was ideal for me (size 16, Dog ear P90, and lightness). But the Epiphone MICs are well made but not with good quality woods. So I was looking for a high-end 330. And I tried a T64v, a Casino US, and a Gibson 330. The quality of the T64 surprised me and I fell in love with its neck. I left the store with the T64v Red Eastman. I haven't changed the strings yet, usually I play with flat wounds. I have the Lollar pickups, the guitar is from 2022. The Lollar sounds are really excellent but I also have a pair of SD Antiquity in my Epiphone Casino, I want to try the Antiquity to find out what the pickups are which I prefer on the T64v. Well, I've already said a lot of things. I am happy to join the Eastman community again. And finally I would say that the T64 is really a very good version of the ES 330/Casino.

  Selling to buy
Posted by: Charlieb - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (9)

Since I stopped playing out I've sold a few guitars to buy other instruments. It just comes to a point to where I sell some instruments that I seldom play. I have a tele and 335 I have no intention of ever selling.

Not so much a tight wad lol but I've been thinking about trying to sell my Eastman AR372 CE that I seldom play now and get an Eastman mandolin. I like Eastman instruments

Anyone else sell to buy or just buy and buy and buy
