Eastman PCH GACE1 Guitar Tuners
Posted by: Saxon Crow - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (6)

Hi. Ive just bought an eastman PCH GACE1 which i absolutely love. Is anyone able to give me some advice regarding upgrading my tuners? I use a lot of open tuning amd have noticed that i have to put more effort into accurately tuning than other guitars i have. I have no experience of changing tuners but i love my eastman so much i want to give it some tlc and improvements where i can. Many thanks

Looks beautiful.  These usually don't last long, so for anyone looking for a slope shoulder.

Hi all. Ordered a T59/v in the middle of January. Any idea on what the back order wait time currently is?

  T59v headstock question.
Posted by: Harmonious - Forum: Eastman Electric and Archtop Guitars - Replies (13)

Hi all, first post here. I have been after a T59 for a while now and am watching one on eBay. It is a 2018 model with the older, larger headstock. As I understand it, Eastman changed the design in 2019 so that the G and D strings weren’t resting on the B and A string posts. I can see from the photos that the strings do indeed rest on the string posts. My question is obvious I suppose: how detrimental is the old design to tuning, tone and the overall playing experience? Thanks very much for any replies.

  E20D TC or E40D

Alright you Eastman fans which one would you get? An no, I wouldn't get both. I already have an Eastman E1SS-CLA-LTD and an E10SS/V. Also, I've had an '18 AC322CE so I'm familiar a bit with Eastmans. In addition, I have a Blueridge BR-140A and a Yamaha A5R. The Yammie is a bit quiet for a Dread. It's better amplified than not. I'd like a rosewood Dread than's louder. I like Dread's. Don't have have any 'little' guitars. Not acoustics anyway. Thanks, Bob

  E10 ss vs ss/v
Posted by: etiquette - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (7)

I am sure this has been discussed but I am asking anyway:

For you who have played both these slope shoulder models,
are there any other differences other than the nitro versus varnish?

Any considerable tonal differences?

Thanks,
Lars

  UK shop eastmans in stock
Posted by: Cromwell - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (1)

I have seen only a couple of stores in the UK that seem to sell Eastmans. I bought my e10ss from Richards guitars. I know that a lot of shops sell them, but they order them direct from Eastman after you place an order, so can't actually try in person.

After all this lockdown is over, does Richards guitars actually have a lot of eastmans in stock to try, or does anybody know of any other stores in the UK that have a decent amount in stock?

Thanks guys

Thumbs Up T386 neck shape
Posted by: Stevie76 - Forum: Eastman Electric and Archtop Guitars - Replies (8)

Hi. New user here!

Been scouting this forum for a while now as I was interested in purchasing a T386.

Long story short I now have purchased it and it's absolutely beautiful!. The tones are just what I wanted and it's a nice upgrade from my old epi dot. Fit and finish are way above what I'm used to. I also really like the Kent Armstrong pickups so I'm happy about that too!

I play primarily a Gibson Les Paul classic from the 90s with the slim taper neck. Love this neck and I've had the guitar from new so I thought The neck shape on the T386 would be up my street. I.e slim 60s Gibson
Here's the possible rub... After playing 2 hours on the Eastman my thumb hurts!..

I play thumb over neck and I'm finding this neck shape kinda hurts  when played this style after some time. I'm kinda putting this down to the wider neck shape.

There are no sharp edges on the frets at all... fretwork is utterly immaculate...better than my LP.

I adore this guitar but was just wondering if anyone else has has a similar issue playing thumb over on these necks?

Thanks

  E20P vs E10P
Posted by: Peter Lees - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (4)

I come from a classical fingerstyle background. Standard 2” nut width but perhaps more importantly a flat neck with little radius. I enjoy playing Travis style and fingerstyle blues on steel string acoustic. The E20P (about 1900.00 CDN dollars or E10P or E10-OO 1600.00) ? Thoughts for fingerstyle and 300.00 to 400.00 difference in price?

Thank you Andy.
