I managed to find a like new E2 OM Deluxe at GC. A real nice guitar for not a lot of coin. A couple of small scuffs, but otherwise in great shape. I took the Fishman Sonitone out and replaced with a Baggs M1a soundhole pickup I've had. I've gigged it a few times and it plays real nice.
Only bummer, it didn't come with the nice Eastman gig bag.

Ted has once more hit the ball out of the park in his "partnership" with Eastman Strings to create 20 Eastman Custom E10-LGSS/V-LTD-SB LA Guitar Sales Exclusive 20th Anniversary Model guitars https://www.eastmanguitarfans.com/Thread...-E10LGSS-V. But this post is not about Ted's ability to tweak models from guitar manufacturers such as Larrivee, Martin and Eastman (and probably others) to build much better mousetraps. That is the stuff of legend and reality. This post is about my coming around to what many others know all too well, that great guitars can come in small packages.

I recently left my comfort zone and purchased one of these 20 guitars. I say "left my comfort zone" because my previous inclinations are slanted toward dreads and some jumbos, not the "lowly" 00 bodies. However, something compelled me to purchase one of these exclusive guitars. I read so many posts by others proclaiming their love affair with small-body guitars. What was I missing? Will increasing arthritic pains drive me into abandoning dreads? Who knows? 

Well, I've got say that even a scant day after receiving my new 00, I'm really warming up to the sound. Some of "my songs" sound more immediate and rootsy on this guitar than they did on my dreads. It's much more comfortable while playing on the couch than my larger bodied guitars. It's also my very first reliced guitar which is kind of cool in and of itself. It's got some heft, especially for a guitar with a small body; but ever since purchasing my first really good guitar, a Guild F512 purchased new in 1979, I've correctly or incorrectly equated heft with quality. If you have any inclination toward small body guitars, or even if you don't, this Eastman Custom E10-LGSS/V-LTD-SB LA Guitar Sales Exclusive 20th Anniversary Model might be worth a look. It's really all that and more, and there are only going to be a total of 20 of them built. And BTW Eastman seems to put a lot of thought into their cases. I don't play out so I don't go anywhere with a cased guitar, but the one that came with myE10-LGSS-LTD-SA was a very cool alligator effect hardshell case with vintage bronzed [font]latches.[/font]

So here on the left is my new E6D TC and on the right is my PCH2-GACE with solid sitka top, but they claim to be the same top but I've never seen a sitka tc top as light in color as my E6D is. So if yall have any experience I'd be highly grateful. The serial # on the E6D is #M2023018

Hi,

i’ve installed a lot of K&K Pure mini sound board transducers and also JJB Prestige 330s.

i was in process of installing a JJB Prestige 330in an Eastman E10OM when I discovered something surprising.

There is a bevel on the front edge of the bridge plate under the guitar top.

the bridge plate is where the piezo sensors are super glued in.

Because of this bevel, installation of the 15mm diameter sensors becomes very concerning as there is very little room to install them.

That is, if you want the sensors right under the saddle, while not overhanging the bevel and while not being touched by the string ball ends.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

….and has any advice to share?

When will they be on the market? I'm really curious to hear how they sound, especially the new tonerider pickups.

I want to share my experience with a nut substitution on my E10 00SS/V that can be interesting for many people. I know that like me, many of you don't like at all the narrow 1-11/16" nut and prefer the wider 1-3/4". My E10 00SS/V was my first experience with a narrow nut and was causing me troubles. Despite I have thin fingers, I first learned to play on a classical guitar (52mm nut width, a bit more than 2") and that 1-11/16" was too much for me. I liked the E10 00SS/V quite a lot, very classy guitar with a great tone but I thought selling it many times. As a last try I decided to make a new nut with a somewhat wider string separation. First I measured all my guitars with a digital caliper and encountered that there was a considerable variation. That it's not strange as Eastman guitars are totally hand made. As I'm Spanish, I'll give you the measurement on mm, sorry about that. Consider that 1 inch=25,4mm and 1mm=2,5/64ths of an inch.
On guitars with a 1-3/4" (45mm) nut, the nut width was between 44,9 and 45,2mm and the string spacing at the nut equally oscillated between 37,9 and 38,2mm, thus 0,3mm difference, almost one 64th of an inch. Instead on my E10 00SS/V (1-11/16"=43,5mm) the real nut width was 43,4mm and the string spacing at the nut 36,6mm, thus about 1,5mm less than on my 1-3/4" nut guitars. I made a new nut and get a string separation of 38,2mm, exactly the same as on my E10D and a bit more than my E20 OM-MR-TC! It's true that now the strings are a bit dangerously close of the fretboard edge but that don't represent a problem for me. The feel now it's not exactly the same as in my 1-3/4" guitars as the fretboard still is narrower and you notice that, but nevertheless much much better than with the original 1-11/16" nut. I was rather happy with the result and I don't think anymore on selling the guitar. 
If you have a guitar with a 1-11/16" nut that is causing troubles to you or you always wanted to buy a 1-11/16" guitar like a Gibson J-45/L-00 or an Eastman Slope shoulder but didn't dare, maybe this little trick can work for you. It worked for me and it's a 100% reversible modification. One pic comparing the 2 nuts:

Hey! I'm new to Eastman; a friend of mine just bought a used AC222ce-ov and it played and felt phenomenal. Massive resonance that rivaled my high/mid tier Ts and Ms -- and she got it for around 650. The value for money ratio was incredible. So here I was planning for a trip overseas, and I was looking for a quality guitar to take with me that won't break the bank. I found an HE222ce on fb marketplace for 350, can anybody tell me what the specs are? I know it has a solid top, but I can't find much else about it other than an old post on this forum where someone mentioned it has a nitro finish. My biggest question: Is it an all solid guitar like the AC222ce?
