New member - Big fan of Eastman guitars

Howdy! I am new to these parts!
I recently took possession of a sunburst top E6D and PCH1 OM CLA..
I purchased them at my local guitar shop here in Rockwall, TX.. Morrison Guitars.. Bought them together.
The E6D is a dynamic cannon of a guitar with excellent highs, lows and mids.. Just a great axe and the second one I have owned over the past few years.. My first E6D was a natural top and sounded amazing. It was just not  as substantial as the new burst one I bought and when I dug into it just kind of buckled under the pressure. Not this new one.. The neck profile is slightly beefier. It was made to be strummed with vigor and really projects. It also is a very responsive finger picker as well..

I have also owned an AC422 OM in the past that I sold but it was a great guitar.. Picked it up for $350 on CL a few years ago and wish I would've kept it..

The PCH OM is obviously the budget line for Eastman with the lam back and sides. However, it is a great little guitar in its own right and is my office / couch / campfire guitar.

I am a Guild guitar enthusiast as well and I am a member of the Lets Talk Guild forum.. There is some love for Eastmans over there.. Any true guitar enthusiast who is not completely fixated on only US made guitars agrees that Eastman is a tremendous value for the money. I love that they are handmade in a true instrument workshop where folks pride themselves on making high quality instruments. Glad to be here!

Eric Clapton's take on this number :-

Not bad Eric, bit bland though. Solo guitar and voice might have been interesting - like Scrapper Blackwell

Never even heard of this guy till I stumbled across this a couple of days ago. What a guitarist! And best guitar version (nobody but nobody performs it like Bessie Smith) I've heard of Nobody knows You When You're Down And Out  :-

Well I feel like a trader , just picked up two telecasters .
This is the only forum I'm a member of and of course it's because of my love of Eastman . But I'm a lover of anything guitar also . I came across a left handed original custom shop ( 1987 ) telecaster 52 butterscotch in mint condition, it's the 78th guitar the FCS ever built [Image: 1cJuOyI.jpg]
What do I do ? Looking around for a 186 or 84 . Then it gets worse, he will only sell as a set with a rosewood telecaster. I plugged it in but it had the original strings from the 80's still on . Lol the guy said [Image: VYhKLfg.jpg]your not going to change them are you ?
The bad news Now I have to wait to buy my next Eastman . The good news is I brought them home cleaned the frets and installed new strings . Wow it has a sweat clean sound that's unique to my ear . The switch needs to be cleaned but other then that it's great and the action is very low . I'm not done with Eastman's but the next one we'll have to wait lol. Here's a pic of RW haven't set it yet ,to happy playing 52 [Image: vLEEyiY.jpg] the[Image: pda8LY5.jpg]
