So far I’m in love Smile

Thanks Ted at LA Guitar Sales.

It’s got a pretty awesome tiger striped pattern on the sides. The pictures never show it off well as we know...

I thought this might be of interest to some members.

I ordered an Eastman AC222CE through Alto Music online on August 21, 2020.  I just received notification that the guitar was shipped to me yesterday from Eastman USA/ Pomona, and with a scheduled delivery date of December 29, 2020.  Lead time just a tad over 4 months.

Thought I had finally acquired my perfect guitar collection, but you know how it is......there is always one more. Finally pulled the trigger on a beautiful archback jumbo, the AJ817. Heard an AJ816 on YouTube and fell in love with the looks and sound. This 817 will have a 17” bout width.....should be quite the cannon. Of course the look on my wife’s face when it arrives will be interesting to say the least. Tough to explain being a professional pianist.

current guitars:
Eastman 822 fanned fret
Eastman E20D
Eastman DM-1
Eastman AR904
D’Angelico Excel-1
Loar LH650
Loar LH700
1934 Epiphone Emperor (my holy grail)
‘Gretch Honeydipper

Love my Eastmans to death: E20D, 822ff, DM-1......but I did luck out on two really nice Loars - an LH700 and LH650. My favorite guitar for big band type swing is my holy grail of guitars: a 1934 Epiphone Emperor. For smooth easy jazz playing, pretty pleased with my D’Angelico Excel-1.

  pick guards ???
Posted by: Silly Moustache - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (3)

Hi. I've got a Collings 0002h, with a pickguard. My waterloo has one, rather loud firestripe job but it works.

Last year I ordered an E20-P, which is a beaut, but came with a teadrop pickguard ... seems funny for a size "0" but ho hum

So this year I saw an E40-00 all deat by seashell and pretty. I spoke, I ordered and received - very different from the E20-P more subtle but very pleasing ... but no pick guard. Huh?

Seems it should have. Anyone know how I can get one for it? (teardrop as usual, faux totex etc - that 'd nice.
Thanks in adance (I'm in the UK btw).

SOLD! Eastman E1D - Brand New and Perfect $395
Posted by: twgathings - Forum: For Sale / Trade and Online Deals - Replies (7)

Brand new Eastman E1D acoustic dreadnought guitar in flawless condition with rich full sound. Full warranty included (have not registered) and have original purchase receipt. Gig bag of course included. I bought this in Early December 2020 (just a couple weeks ago) as a backup to my Martin D18 and while it’s an amazing guitar, I need a wider neck/string spacing and prefer a 16” radius. I purchased from a small dealer in Hawaii and, while they do accept returns, I did not realize how much return shipping would be so selling locally (or will ship at buyers expense). I am in Charlotte, NC.

Thanks and let me know of any questions.

  E10P thoughts....
Posted by: Airborne - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (2)

I’m thinking of possibly acquiring a 12 fret guitar and thinking of the above as a possible purchase. Fingerstyle will be the intended purpose. I do not, and will never gig, strictly a back room hack.

At present I own the 40 OM and PCH3 Koa OM. The 40 is forever!

I would appreciate thoughts, comments, pros or cons on this model. Include string preferences if possible. I’m also open to other model suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Merry Xmas!

You have $2500 to buy TWO acoustics....

What do you buy?

Fun question I think to see the variety of opinions and give other people ideas they may have never thought of. You can sight used prices of course as well.

Personally I think I could squeeze an e10d-tc and a Martin 0-18 with that budget. Both used.
