NGD E8om-tc

She arrived today after much ado with Fedex.  She's still in her box getting used to being here. Looking forward to taking her out of the case and taking her for a ride.  She, I guess it's a female.  Also told the dealer that I've been working with that I want a E20 om-tc that he's got and he's going to install a K&K mini for me. I don't need the pickup yet but it's going to cost me less having him doing than here.  Excited about this next part of the journey.

I'd post a pic but heck you guys know what these look like!

  E8om-tc and E20om or E20om-tc?
Posted by: vashondan - Forum: Eastman Acoustic Guitars - Replies (9)

Hi Gang,

So I sold the 422 and have an E8om-tc on the way.  I've also been looking at the E20om and wondering whether to get it in the regular or tc models. Any thoughts, suggestions, perspectives or plain old opinions would be welcome.  I was intrigued by the Adi top vs the sitka but hadn't at first thought about the tc.

New forum member here.

I went to buy some strings at GC the other night and took my usual pass through the used guitars. They had a sunburst E40OM on the wall that looked BRAND NEW and was one of the prettiest guitars I think I've ever seen. It was locked up and was in a hurry so I didn't ask them to get it down for me. I thought about it all day yesterday and went back to see it again. I tuned it up and was pretty much blown away by the sound. I spent about a half hour with it and asked to see the case. It also looked brand new and still had the original invoice from LA Guitars in it. It was purchased last year for $2200 and some change. They were asking $1499.  Not knowing a ton about the guitar I came home to research it.

After realizing it was a solid guitar and a good buy, I went back to get it....

GONE!!!

Lesson learned.

I'm hurting right now......haha

  Acoustic Guitar Stands?
Posted by: vashondan - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (14)

Having just shifted to acoustic guitars I started looking at guitar stands.  I've looked at places like Sweetwater and don't find any that seem "safe".  Some hang from the top and with others the guitar just rests on a support on the bottom.  What do you guys use?

E10OM-TC in action.. Living inside your love - Earl Klugh cover
Posted by: Meathead - Forum: Guitar Videos - Replies (7)

Hi all - here's my latest effort - another Earl Klugh cover, one of his more well known songs - living inside your love.  Tough one to perform without a few flubs but it's a fun song to play!

This is played on my E10OM-TC which I know several of us are proud owners here on EGF.  Thanks for watching!

Have gone round and round about this but decided that I much prefer the OM's.  Sweet guitar though. New and visited my house for three weeks.

  Hollow Eastman thinlines?
Posted by: NoiseFloor - Forum: Eastman Electric and Archtop Guitars - Replies (4)

Hi,

I had a 386 for a few months, and loved everything about it except for the centerblock.  I really want something that has no more than a post under the bridge.  But I do like the thinner body.  I cannot find definitively if any of Eastman's thinlines are actually hollow.  From reading it seems like the T484 may just have a bridge post, but I just don't know for sure.

Thanks!
Gary

This is a good listen!

He talks about a new solid body that will be introduced next year (30th anniversary of Eastman). Slightly offset body (nods slightly to the Gibson Firebird), Bare Knuckle pickups. Will be Eastman's first original solid body design. Discussion of this start around 42 minutes in.
